Tommy Castro & The Painkillers Tickets

Geboren in San Jose, Kalifornien, begann er mit 10 Jahren das Gitarrenspiel und orientiert sich an Eric Clapton, Elvin Bishop, Mike Bloomfield und anderen Blues Rockern. Später ließ er sich von Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy und Elmo James inspirieren. Seine Vorbilder im Gesang sind Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, James Brown und viele mehr.

Mit 20 Jahren begann er mit all den genannten Einflüssen seinen eigenen Stil zu entwickeln. Einen extravaganten Mix aus Blues und Soul der seinesgleichen sucht. Er bezeichnet seinen Stil als „Funky Southern Soul, Big City Blues and Classic Rock“.

Unvergessen ist sein Auftritt anlässlich des Montreux Jazz Festivals 2015. Dieser Auftritt hat Maßstäbe gesetzt, die so schnell nicht zu übertreffen sind.

Nun kommt Tommy Castro mit seinen Painkillers erneut auf Tour und kein Blues Fan sollte es sich entgehen lassen diesen Superstar live zu erleben.
