Punk trifft Rap, Eskalation und Pogo treffen ein brandaktuelles politisches Anliegen – Swiss & die Andern treffen einen musikalischen und gesellschaftlichen Nerv. Das beweist nicht nur die wachsende Fan-Gemeinde, sondern auch ausverkaufte Tour-Termine. "In diesen Zeiten kann man einfach keine belanglose Musik machen“, sagt Swiss, Frontmann von Swiss & die Andern. Und genau deshalb wird jetzt nachgelegt: Passend zum Release des neuen Albums „Randalieren für die Liebe“ steht auch die Stuttgarter Zusatzshow.
Swiss ist einer mit Ecken und Kanten, kein farbloser Zeitgenosse, ein echter „Typ“ von denen es nicht allzu viele gibt. Kein aalglatter, weichgespülter Schwiegersohntyp, eher von der Sorte „Kindchen, wen bringst denn da mit nach Hause, tut das denn Not?“ Und ja, es tut Not, denn sowohl die Festivallandschaft (Deichbrand, Open Flair, Ruhrpott Rodeo, With Full Force, Helene Beach, Juicy Beats uvm.), diverse aus allen Nähten platzende Touren und eine mehrmals ausverkaufte Große Freiheit in Hamburg sowie zahlreiche Shows mit Wizo, Betontod, ZSK etc. zeigen, wie stark das Thema gerade nachgefragt wird.
Der Sound dieser musikalischen Straßenkämpfer ist laut, dreckig, wutgeladen und erinnert oft an Bands wie Rage Against The Machine und System Of A Down aber immer mit einer eigenen Note, die das Erbe der Hip-Hop Vergangenheit trägt.
